Retailers might need a solution to separate stock for several channels to avoid overselling specific SKUs by mapping the available stock into different virtual locations. Every virtual location will be assigned to one sales channel so that it won't affect the stock allocation in another virtual location.
You can customize the table by filtering data using the Filters button and choose which column to show by clicking the Columns button.
Add Virtual Location Mapping
To add virtual location, here’s the guide:
Go to Masters > Virtual Location, click on Map Virtual Location button.
Complete all the required fields below:
Parent location: Location base, it can be warehouse or retail store.
Virtual location: Name of the virtual location. It can include the initial parent location and specific channel to
differentiate from others.Percentage: Percentage of the allocated stock for this virtual location.
Priority: Priority level for this location. ‘1’ is the highest priority.
Click on Submit button to save.
To map a stock to several different locations, you must input multiple virtual locations sequentially. Here is an example scenario:
Sales channel to be mapped:
Stock allocation for every channel if SKU-001 has 101 qty (rounding down with 1 qty remaining will be added to the highest level).

Edit Virtual Location
Here’s the guide to editing virtual location:
Go to Masters > Virtual Location, open virtual location detail by clicking the View button.
Edit data as needed and please make sure to complete the required fields.
Click on Submit button to save changes.
Delete Virtual Location
To delete virtual location:
- Go to Masters > Virtual Location. Check on the first column of the data row you want to delete.
- Click Actions > Delete button. A confirmation message will be shown and choose OK to confirm.
- The updated virtual location list will be displayed after it.
